Fire Testing in Softwood Frames

Celebrating success at Exova last week using Rutland concealed closers, Strebord door core and a range of access control solutions incorporated within the doorset design. Softwood frames can be difficult to fire test especially with a concealed door closer.  On Friday we witnessed another success with the Rutland ITS 11204 in 44mm Strebord FD30 core from Falcon Panel Products and Intumescent perimeter seals from Sealed Tight Solutions  #DesignerDoorClosersthatLast;   TS 5204 Door Closers get 67 minute Fire Test at Exova with 54mm slabs.- Test 386959 B LL+RL Door and a Half.ITS 11204 Concealed Door Closers get 32 minutes Fire Test at Exova with 44mm slab. Test 386959 AFalcon Panel Products showing all details and specification.Neil goes ecstatic after getting both Primary Fire Tests though with Neil Harrison + Gary Miller of Falcon Panel Products Ltd, John Gardener of SimonsVoss, Peter Barker of IFC and Simon Bailey of Exova BM Trada.This test was a softwood frame which can be assessed to be used in an MDF frame material.
